Keeping your child safe online

With constant changes in technology, and children’s access to it growing, it is essential for parents to know how best to keep their children safe online.  There are plenty of resources to support parents with this and we have listed a few below.

If you have any concerns or would like further support then please speak with your child’s teacher or contact the school on hospitalschool@gosh.camden.sch.uk

We include teaching about internet harms and safety as part of our PSHE curriculum.

CEOP provides lots of tips to help you keep your child safe online (including how to use parental settings on a device) and also guidance on reporting concerns about online content:

Internet Matters provides specific guidance on privacy settings for the most popular social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and more)

Safer Internet provides tips and guides, including one specifically about safe use of different devices (phones, laptops, games consoles, smart TVs and more)

The documents below provide some online safety tips specific to your child's stay in hospital.
